Obesity is a growing concern among people of all ages across the globe. Apart from the serious health concerns that arise out of Obesity, there is also the social embarrassment that these people have to face. Liposuction has emerged as a fast and reliable cosmetic surgery to beat obesity.
Obesity can be a painful experience not only physically but also mentally. The distress we feel when we can?t fit into the pair of denims we love, is terrible. Thankfully, there are ways with which one can easily get their shape back. And one such highly popular fat reduction techniques is liposuction. In a recent study by The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, it was revealed that after United States, Brazil, China and India are the countries where Liposuction is practiced largely. There are several factors behind this growing popularity, mainly peer pressure, lifestyle issues and health concerns.
Due to lavish lifestyle, dietary mistakes or both, fat gets deposited in places like abdomen, thighs and hips of our body. Women, after childbirth, too find themselves in the same situation associated with stretch marks and loose skin. It becomes quite difficult to get rid of such fat deposits. Even if the person looses weight, these portions of the body remains in a bulgy shape. Here is where Liposuction comes handy. At present it is the most common aesthetic procedure practiced in India and worldwide to correct the shape of the body. This Body Re-contouring program includes calorie-less diet along with routine exercises.
There are usually two broad techniques involved in Liposuction ? Dry techniques and Wet techniques. Of the Wet techniques, here are the ones really popular-
1. Tumescent Technique
Tumescent means swollen and compact. In this technique a significant amount of a dilute solution made of lidocaine and epinephrine is injected into the fat. This results in the fat to swell and get firm. The tumescent solution used, gives local anesthesia, thereby reducing the need for further sedation. The Epinephrine used performs vasoconstriction which reduces the chances of bleeding during the surgery. Moreover this surgery has less bruising as compared to other techniques. This is because of two reasons. Primarily due to minimal blood loss there is almost no blood present underneath skin to cause bruising. Secondly, after this surgery a significant amount of blood saturated tumescent solution is drained out. This type of liposuction can be performed for small, medium and large areas of fat deposition. The technique involves removal of fat cells along with the fat using high-speed suction.
2. Super Wet Technique
This technique too uses the same lidocaine and epinephrine solution but half the volume is used in tumescent technique. As this process uses less solution, hence the bleeding is slightly more compared to the previous technique. But the basic advantage in this process is lidocaine toxicity, which is reduced to greater extent due to the less usage of the solution.
It takes around six weeks for a significant amount of swelling to subside. But it is after two to three months when you can feel the final result. The only thing you need to do is to have a healthy diet and get regular exercise to maintain your shape.
Liposuction is best performed by the experts only. To avoid any unwanted complications, you should choose the best surgeon in this field. So, do extensive research about the specialists and the clinic when you choose to undergo liposuction In India, there are several liposuction experts, who with their advanced techniques guarantees you the desired result.
